Sam Halle, Francis Sherwin and the three ladies

Frannie (Mrs. John) Sherwin, Anne Halle Little and Margaret Halle Sherwin enjoying a bit of sun on a cold Cleveland day wrapped in their fashionable coats from Halle Bros. Who is in the pram?

Samuel Horatio Halle, 1937

looking quite dapper for  a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather!

Francis McIntosh Sherwin --looking very much like a McIntosh-- his mom -- on a leather sofa in the fabeled family library. Behind him are etchings by Frank Benson of ducks and hunters; Benson was an early American impressionist who loved to paint his daughters on Monahegan Island in Maine. Look him up on the internet. His work is in the art museum in Boston and elsewhere and is highly prized. Ned Johnson, emperor if Fidelity, recently bought a Benson for $1 million. But allow mw to brag: I bought a huge Helen Framkenthaller painting some years ago and today in the Cleveland Art Museum and it too is worth the same and more! At some point I will tell you about my modern art collection................
